In this tutorial, we'll take a look at a foundational skill on the trampoline: the swan dive (sometimes called a crash dive)
This skill serves as a foundation for all of the trampoline moves based on a ball out, and is one of the essential skills to master for those who want to use the trampoline as a training aid for artistic gymnastics.
This training is made up of four parts:
In the introduction, you'll learn why it's essential to teach the swan dive to your gymnasts.
The second section gives you a technical analysis of the skill. As always, we'll cover the positioning in each phase of the movement.
In the third video, you'll find the usual segment on prerequisites. The acquisition of the different capacities needed for each one of the prerequisites will allow you to begin the skill progression with a sense of confidence.
Finally, in a fourth segment, you'll find the different drills that you can use in order to teach the swan dive to your gymnasts.
Enjoy the training!
